This is a lovely wee spot I've just discovered.. Beautiful location and great cafe! The coffee was great, food was amazing and the cake and milkshakes are insane. It's all very reasonably priced and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. 100% recommend and we will be back!

What a surprise ! I have driven past the entrance thousands of times and live within walking distance. Today was the day that I gave it a try. Once getting past the shock of passing a load of men smashing the ice to fish on a cold winter day I got inside the warm cafe. A warm welcome and all the fishermen were outside in competition mode so quick service awaited. I was met with a smile and a welcome. Not long followed by a full English breakfast. Had a chat with a few friendly fishermen and enjoyed the atmosphere. Really impressed and I will be back.

This isn't the kind of place you stumble across as you have to come off the main A449 and turn down a track but it is worth it. There are a series of anglers pools here so ideal for people who love to fish. This is a licensed cafe so you can buy beers and alcohol here. Nice range of simple meals like burgers and paninis and delicious milk shakes. Very large dining area with plenty of seating.

The owner Grant was friendly and Nicola which was good as in these misunderstood and scary times you have times people / businesses can be unfortunately hostile which I think of when visiting new places especially going with my baby . I messaged Nicola beforehand on FB and she so kindly made the cheesecake I wanted. It look absolutely beautiful and was homemade . The milkshakes were delicious . It was made with fresh strawberries and generous portion very homemade tasting definitely in its own lane compared to the normal powdery processed crap you get at some places. They have outside seating which is lovely and overlooks a lake. The inside is also pretty and clean. Next time will try the food . Thanks ! x
